Maritime Shipfitting Technology

The Shipfitting and Steel Fabrication program prepares graduates for a range of career options from a Shipfitter to Metal or Steel Fabricator. Job opportunities for Shipfitters and Steel Fabricators are all over the nation. The core of the program includes the content identified by the Gulf States Shipbuilders Consortium (GSSC) plus additional knowledge and skills to enhance the preparation of students to work for major ship builders as well as smaller ship yards that build military, commercial, and fishing vessels.
