A study of the nature, scope, and effects of the major problems of today and the theoretical preventive measures to alleviate them. Course includes such problems as unemployment, urbanization, crime, juvenile delinquency, alcoholism, drug addiction, and diaster, family problems include the aged, mentally ill, and retarded. Field trips to more fully acquaint students with social problems. (3, 3, 0).
