MPT 1152 - Rigging Equipment and Practices

This module describes the use and inspection of the basic equipment and hardware used in rigging, including slings, wire ropes, chains, and attaching hardware. It also explains sling angles and describes the use of tuggers, jacks, hoists, and come-alongs. This module describes basic rigging and crane hazards and related safety procedures, provides an overview of personnel lift lifting and lift planning, and introduces load charts and load balancing.
