Business and Marketing Management Technology Gaming Concentration


(Harrison County Campus)

The Business and Marketing Management Technology program prepares the graduate for a career in sales, advertising, management, public relations, merchandising, and buying. A combination of class work and practical experience gives students the opportunity to acquire the background and skills necessary to enter the business and community workforce in positions leading to mid-management level and higher.

The gaming management courses will focus on the unique characteristics of both the gaming and hospitality industries. Learn entry-level skills related to the unique business and marketing characteristics of the casino industry.

The gaming courses link to other programs that will lead to an Associate of Applied Science degree with a gaming concentration:  Administrative Office Technology, Accounting Technology, Business Management Technology, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business and Marketing Management, and Computer Networking Technology.  This degree is designed to help students seek employment in entry level or supervisory gaming positions. For those currently employed, these programs will provide professional growth and career mobility within the gaming industry.

Where a transfer to 4-year college or university is desired, a conference should be scheduled with a MGCCC advisor.

All students completing a career or technical program must complete a MGCCC Board- approved Technical Skills Attainment assessment where applicable. Students should see an advisor for further details.
