(Jackson County Campus)

Electronics Technology provides the instruction necessary for students to gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to troubleshoot and repair computer controlled electronic/electromechanical systems. You’ll have opportunities to work as an Electronics Technician in a number of different fields.  Virtually any company that has equipment that needs to be maintained require Electronics Technicians to do it. The program of study consists of a fifteen-hour core of systems-based electronics and thirty hours of targeted instruction designed to provide specialized skills in Electronics Technology.

This program leads to an Associate of Applied Science Degree and is preparatory for employment upon graduation from MGCCC. Where a transfer to four-year college or university is desired, a conference should be scheduled with an MGCCC advisor.

All students completing a career or technical program must complete an MGCCC Board-approved Technical Skills Attainment where applicable. Students should see an advisor for further details.
