Coding Technology is a program offering training in the design, coding and testing of software applications. Instruction includes a variety of programming and scripting languages, Web and mobile application development, database manipulation, hardware maintenance, and security concepts.

This program leads to an Associate of Applied Science Degree and is preparatory for employment upon graduation from MGCCC. Where a transfer to four-year college or university is desired, a conference should be scheduled with an MGCCC advisor.

All students completing a career or technical program must complete an MGCCC Board-approved Technical Skills Attainment where applicable. Students should see an advisor for further details.

Students in the Coding Technology Program have the option to obtain the Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Technology Certificate (16 hours) by successfully completing the following courses.

IST 1924 - IoT Installations
IST 1934 - Special Projects in IoT
