The General Studies Program is designed for students who have not declared a major because they are unsure or would like the opportunity to explore other options in academic or technical education. Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College offers a wide variety of academic courses that are equivalent to corresponding courses taught at universities and will transfer to public Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning per the Articulation Agreement. This program follows the core curriculum for an Associate of Arts Degree focusing on academic courses that will transfer while allowing the flexibility to explore major academic fields and technical options.
