Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Course Description: Advanced Cardiac Life Support is offered to healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response. The course is considered a blended learning (online portion (HeartCode), followed by hands-on skills session). HeartCode ACLS uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, team dynamics training, megacode cases, and interactive activities to teach students ACLS knowledge and skills. The online portion of HeartCode ACLS can be completed in 6.5 to 7 hours. Time to complete the hands-on skills session is approximately 5 hours using the full agenda, and approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes using the update course agenda. The student must provide the Heartcode certificate when attending the skills session. The student will purchase the Heartcode out of pocket (price is determined by the American Heart Association).  Cost:$150.00 for skills session.
