DHT 1115 - Fundamentals of Dental Hygiene Credit(s): 5
This course will provide the dental hygiene student with the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary for interaction with clients. The lecture portion will focus on the history, philosophy, and theories relevant to the profession of dental hygiene. Lecture highlights will include discussion of the latest health care settings, trends, and approaches to comprehensive care. The preclinical portion will provide the student with opportunities for the development of psychomotor skills and opportunities for interaction with clients, which will provide emphasis on trust, care, and responsibility as part of becoming a professional.
