IDT 1253 - Transliterating Credit(s): 3
This course will train students to compare and contrast the difference between interpreting and transliterating, as well as, synthesize a definition of Conceptually Accurate Signed English (CASE). Students will be prepared to make accurate sign choices, develop restructuring, mouthing, and code-switching skills. Covers the decision-making and processing skills necessary to transfer information from spoken English to a signed code, and vice versa, via the practice of transliteration. This course will continue to develop vocabulary, grammar, and expressive skills. Corequisite: IDT 1224 . (3,3,0)
