The Computer Programming Technology curriculum is designed as a two-year program of study to prepare the student for entry-level employment. Computer Programmers create, modify, test, and maintain software programs and applications by writing code in specific programming languages. This instructional program offers training in the development of software for desktop and web-based environments and prepares students for employment in computer operations, systems analysis, software development, web development, and mobile application development. In addition, the Computer Programming Technology program offers a Computer Programming Technology Cloud Services Option .
This program leads to an Associate of Applied Science Degree and is preparatory for employment upon graduation from MGCCC. Where a transfer to four-year college or university is desired, a conference should be scheduled with an MGCCC advisor.
All students completing a career or technical program must complete an MGCCC Board-approved Technical Skills Attainment where applicable. Students should see an advisor for further details.
