Computer Programming Technology is designed to prepare students for employment in computer operations, business application software development, Web development, mobile application development and system analysis. Focus is placed on midrange and personal computer programming on the most up-to-date equipment.
This program leads to an Associate of Applied Science Degree and is preparatory for employment upon graduation from MGCCC. Where a transfer to four-year college or university is desired, a conference should be scheduled with an MGCCC advisor.
All students completing a career or technical program must complete an MGCCC Board-approved Technical Skills Attainment where applicable. Students should see an advisor for further details.
Students in the Computer Programming Technology Program have the option to obtain the Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Technology Certificate (16 hours) by successfully completing the following courses.

IST 1344 - IoT Fundamentals: Connecting Things
IST 1924 - IoT Installations
IST 1934 - Special Projects in IoT
