Course Description: This course trains individuals to teach a variety of Basic Life Support classes and all AHA Heartsaver programs including: adult CPR, child CPR, infant CPR, AED use, first aid, pediatric CPR/first aid, and blood-borne pathogens. The American Heart Association’s Online BLS Instructor Essentials is an engaging, multi-media tool designed to provide a foundation for teaching and facilitating regardless of an instructor or instructor candidate’s area of specialization. Students must have a current AHA BLS provider card prior to taking this course and must complete the online BLS Instructor Essential course.
