The 10-week Cosmetology Nail Technology program prepares individuals with the theory and skills to care for nails with an emphasis on hygiene, sanitation, customer relations, ethics, and salon management that are required to become a licensed nail technician. Students will receive instruction designed to comply with the standards of the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology and practice techniques in a supervised salon setting.

Semester One

Total Credits: 15

Note:

The ratio of lab hours to lecture hours for Cosmetology is 3 to 1. This program requires a minimum of 850 minutes per semester hour.
